On Thursday, January 6th, 32 students, 1 alum, and 2 advisers hosted a Model UN conference at Kuei Shan’s Lanya campus.
There were 3 committees, Making Space Accessible for All Countries, Human Rights for Prisoners on Death Row, and Ethical Uses of Human Cloning.
Speeches were given, debates were had, comfort zones were gone outside of, parliamentary procedures were followed, crises were dealt with, and resolutions and amendments were passed.
It was a long day, but students gained much experience and confidence which we hope to put to good use at further MUN conferences in the coming semester.
