Since the start of the semester, our G7 design students have been busy designing tifos, sports banners with its roots in European football fan clubs, for our own sports team - the Kuei Shan Rams. Our designers have gone through the MYP design cycle to create a tifo that responds to the design need in which our school games are usually quiet and mild.
As part of seeing their designs in real life, students attended the 2024 TISSA football games in Taipei and Kaohsiung, bringing their tifo designs, chants, and energy to support the Kuei Shan Rams.
Often times design projects start and end in the classroom, maintaining its status as merely a concept. For this project, students were able to see their designs in context and receive feedback from the other participant's reaction. In Taipei, several teams from other participating schools noticed our tifos and chants, and even joined in on cheering on our G8 football team.
At the end of the game, our G8 football boys won 3-0 against the AST Eagles. Thank you to our amazing designers!
