This entry is a sequel of this entry, in which a student's book report on Piaget was documented. In this entry, another aspect of this Reading/Writing Workshop is presented, as another Grade 10 student, Kyle Huang, chose to delve into one recent issue from The Economist to connect to his academic interest in global issues politically and economically. This entry speaks to one key component of the course design--to gradually develop each student's reading repertoire for academic pursuit and a potential Extended Essay topic (it serves as a part of constructing bibliography and discovering a research question).
