National Day Celebration: Spotlight on G6-G8 Students

On this day, Kuei Shan celebrated the birth of this beautiful nation with a fun and exciting ceremony at the main campus! In preparation for National Day this year, students wrote poems in Chinese class that they put on their little flags. A few outstanding poems were chosen to be read aloud by Dr. Peter Tsai during the celebration.

寒冷霜 梅花放

兵士壯人忠面軍

旗揮殉戰留青行

-Faran Simpson, 8A

秋葉飄 青天映

溪落水花飛濺遙

嬋娟夜裡輝芒瑩

-Bella Cheng, 8B

Each grade sent a representative to pray for the nation, and it was heartwarming to see their courage and sincerity. Students performed their special talents in the center of the PU field, which was a delight to watch. Honor guards gave a fascinating performance that captured everyone's attention, and the celebration came to an end with a parade.

A few comments from the students about the celebration:

"The performance with the guns was so amazing!"

"Kade's dance was really cool!" -Grade 6 students

"The sound of the popcorn at the end of the headmaster's speech was really cool!"

"The performances by other grades were really cool too."

-Grade 7 students

"I think that the Scouts did a great job, their march was steady and orderly."

"The whole celebration was brilliant!" -Grade 8 students
