Alongside the annual winter feast with service as its main focus, MYP G6-8 students displayed their achievements in their SA (Service action) subject units for the first time.
The grade eight mathematics unit involved making function charts to help students in the seventh grade and those in need of fundraising and bazaars to understand how to calculate cost and profit.
The eighth grade ancient poetry unit promoted Chinese culture and produced a film with English subtitles, hoping to promote cross-cultural communication.
The seventh grade I&S course allowed students to choose, research and share a global topic so that the community can better understand the specific needs of that topic.
The sixth grade I&S course took the school as the object of SA development, drawing a map of the Kuei shan campus for visitors to use.
The sixth grade Bible course used the actions of Jesus in the Gospel of Luke to allow students to reflect on difficulties they encounter in serving others, and pray for help to break through.
The MYP G6-8 Learning Achievement Exhibition will become a part of Kuei Shan’s continuous development with respect to SA units. We invite everyone to join in and become influential learners in the community!
