The DP Subject Selection Fair on April 15, 2022 introduces the students to their potential DP courses and the teachers. The DP Subject Selection Fair gives students a chance to know about the courses that they’re interested in beforehand, get to know their teachers and the expectations for each class. From my experience, I learned a lot about the DP program thanks to this workshop. I received insightful answers from the teachers and senior students about my preferred courses, such as what kind of exams I would be taking in DP History, and the differences between High Level and Standard Level. The teachers gave me suggestions for which courses to pick and the difficulty that is most suitable for me, they also gave critique for my course selection.
I asked about which science course would be the most suitable for myself, and the teachers gave me meaningful responses based on my choices and my future major in college. I received a lot of meaningful responses from the teachers, and the senior students were willing to share experiences for me to consider my DP selection. I got to know each course better thanks to the suggestions of the DP students, and I was able to make better decisions thanks to the teachers and the DP students.
Overall, the DP Subject Selection Fair was very helpful for me to make my decisions for DP. I got to know which courses were the most suitable, and how I may distribute my effort. I think this workshop provided clear and concise guidance for students who had concerns for the DP course selection. Many students got to know their teachers and their subjects, preparing them better for DP.
